Kid's Christmas Program

Madison was in her first ever Christmas Program at our church. I couldn't get any close up shots as we were pretty much in the back. The kids sang "Emanuel", "We're Not That Far From Bethlehem" and "Go Tell it on the Mountain". If you look closely, Madison is in the front row, in a white dress standing next to a little boy with a green sweater on. Once she finally found where we were sitting, she kept waving and blowing kisses. After their part was done and she sat down with us, I asked her if she was nervous up on the stage; she looked at me, puffed out her chest and proudly said "Not at all!"

Christmas Parade

Santa Claus came to Wadsworth!!! Saturday was the annual Christmas Parade.
We had a great time.

The High School marching band....
we especially loved it when the drummer's past by, we were all dancing!

Our cute little town.

Cheesing it up! :)

You can't quite see everything you want when you are only 39" tall.
Sometimes you just need someone to hold you!

Waiting for the parade to begin. (Yes, those are Gary's bare toes!!!)

We were sharing hot chocolate...

Madison and Gary (Matt's cousin) ...

Grammy and the kids...

The boys...hanging out in the local coffee shop.

The four of us took a carriage ride through downtown Wadsworth ( it took a whole 5 min!) I have this weird look on my face because the man taking our picture couldn't quite figure out to hold the camera, I was trying to instruct him while smiling at the same time.

Grammy and Madison... not only was it the parade day, but it was also Grammy's birthday. Happy Birthday Grammy!!!!

My babies...

"These boots are made for walking..."

This is my personal housekeeper. She JUST overcame her fear of the vacuum...

Madison, having breakfast with her best friend Dora...

This smile is going to do extreme amounts of damage!!!

Fall time...

Madison loves to jump and play in the leaves!!

What a great little helper!

This is a really big yard for such a little boy!

Halloween

Madison and Braylon, (I mean Little Mermaid and the giraffe) really enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. Madison would walk up to the people's door and proudly say "Trick-Or-Treat, smell my feet!"
Being the health conscious mother that I try to be~ when the kids went to sleep that night, I threw all the candy away! :)

Field Trip to the Hobert Farm

On Thursday, Madison's class went on a field trip to Hobert's Farm. The kids had a great time! It was so cold (39 degrees) and the day before it was in the 60's! Wouldn't you know!

Above is Madison's entire class sitting in the hay barn!

The little boy sitting next to Madison ALWAYS runs to Madison when she gets to school to say hi! :)

Taking a tour through the barn.

Running through the hay maze...

Madison and her signature pose. Whenever I try to take her picture and say "Smile Madison", her arm goes up and she immediately takes this pose!

On the hay ride, the kids would crack up laughing everytime they saw a tree with a face. It was hilarious!!

She searched and searched for the right pumpkin!

Us on the hayride...

Friends... it was a great afternoon!

Communication....Kid's Style

A couple of nights ago we were eating at Wendy's. As we were sitting at our table, this little boy slowly walks by and was staring at Madison. I looked at him...then I looked at Madison, only to find that she was staring back! She loudly said, "Wanna know my name? It's Madison, M-a-d-i-s-o-n". The little boy said, "I'm Taylor, T-a-y-l-o-r". I felt as if I were trapped in a spelling bee. Madison then said, "I'm 5" and the little boy didn't skip a beat, he said "Well I'm 6". Taylor then proudly proclaim that the letter of the week was "B" and that he knew how to write it. You would have thought Madison was going into pure shock, she looked at me and then at him with this look of amazement and said " That's MY letter of the week!!" Taylor then went on to enjoy his kid's meal!
It was too cute!!

The Vols Game

Over Labor Day Weekend, we traveled down to see the Tennessee Vols play the California Bears. With 107,000 people in one stadium all screaming and singing, it made for a great game! I now can sing "Rocky Top" and not miss a word! :)

Cheerleader

Ever since Matt took Madison to the high school football game, she has LOVED cheerleading. We were driving in the car the other day and Madison started a cheer that she wanted us to repeat:
Give me an "E"... (we repeated)
Give me an "A"... (we repeated)
Give me a "R" ... (we repeated)
Give me a "N"... (we repeated)
Give me a "Q" ... (we repeated)
Give me an "O" ... (we repeated)
"Whatda you got?" Matt and I looked at each other and he said "I don't know, what is that Madison?" With irritation rising in her voice she said..."I don't know, you are the ones who know how to spell, not me!"

"Guess what I am?"

Friday, when I picked Madison up from school she looked at me and said "Mom, you know what I am?" When I responded, she held her shoulders back proudly and proclaimed, "I am a safety violation!" I asked her to repeat herself and tried not to laugh. She said it bold and proud, "A safety violation!" All of a sudden you could see it on her face, realizing that was not was she was trying to say. Without hesitation she corrected herself, "Patrol, patrol, Mom, I meant safety patrol!"
She constantly makes us laugh!!
