"The Big Day!!"

Can you believe that I am sending my little baby to the halls of this school everyday? OK, so maybe she's not a little baby , but the question is, is she really ready for this?
I assure you that the answer is yes!! :) As Matt and I took her and showed here where everything was, she said "OK, I love you, bye!" We looked at each other as if to say "What just happened?" We were thinking that she would cry and beg us not to leave her, maybe hold on to my leg not wanting me to go, at least well up with tears in her eyes....there was none of that! Matt and I walked out of the school with our shoulders low and not talking... we were on the verge of losing it. (Pretty funny, I guess!)

This is the little bench that the kids have to sit on to wait for the teacher to tell them to come in the classroom. Madison knew this little girl from preschool. I overheard Madison say to her, "Can you believe that we are in Kindergarten?"

On her way...

Look how much bigger the book bag is than her!

I have been reading your blog for some time now and have it on my "favorites" list. My husband and I live in Michigan but our "home" is Elyria. We grew up there and met at Cross Community Church when it was First Assembly. And we love your parents being there and hug on them when we visit!
ANYHOW, your family is beautiful and I love the picture of Madison and the big backpack!!
When our first born started school in Elyria back then, I was so emotional! Now he is going to be 18 in a few months and our daughter will be 16!! The nice thing about what your doing is that your recording it all with pictures...awesome.
Be blessed from Michigan. The Richards.
